Villa in Cabo San Lucas
8 Guests
4 Bedrooms
4 Baths
Slide the doors back and the living room becomes the patio, the patio becomes the lawn, and the lawn ends at the palapa. A three-minute walk past that, your feet are in the Sea of Cortez.
That's Villa Blue Sea 5 — a contemporary four-bedroom villa inside the gated Blue Sea community on the Los Cabos Corridor, two rows back from the sand and built around the kind of long indoor-outdoor afternoons that define a good Cabo stay.
You walk in and the house is already deciding for you. The wall of glass at the back of the living room slides away entirely, and the line between inside and outside stops mattering by the time you've set your bags down.
The kitchen is built for someone who knows what they're doing — a Wolf range, a separate prep wing, the kind of working surface a private chef can actually use. Most mornings it gets used that way. Coffee on one side, breakfast coming together on the other, the doors to the patio open before anyone's bothered to ask if they should be.
The covered terrace just outside is where the day decompresses on either end. It's the spot for the first coffee and the last drink, and most of what happens in between gets decided here. Dinner happens at the palapa. A few steps across the lawn, under thatch, with the smell of carne asada or whatever came off the boat that morning.
The pool sits at the back of the property, the infinity edge running toward the Sea of Cortez with palms and rooflines between you and the horizon, the spa bubbling at one corner. You float in it for an hour without meaning to. It's heated, so the late-afternoon swim isn't a decision you have to make twice.
Four bedrooms, each with its own bath, sleeping eight. Two king suites and two suites with a pair of queens in each — room for couples, kids, or whatever combination the trip is. Three of the four open directly to the gardens or the pool deck through their own walls of glass — wake up, slide them open, and the morning is already in the room before you are. The primary suite has a marble soaking tub set into a wall of honey-toned stone, the kind of bath you draw at the end of a long beach day and don't get out of for a while.
The beach itself is a short walk through the community. You leave the villa, follow the path down, and you're on broad open sand with turquoise water — the swimming kind on this stretch of the Corridor, not the cliffside kind. Most days it's a quick round trip to be back at the pool with sand still on your feet.
Villa Blue Sea 5 sits in the Tourist Corridor — the stretch between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas where both towns are roughly the same drive away. The community is gated, on the beach side of the Transpeninsular Highway. You can be at a marina-side breakfast in Cabo in fifteen minutes, or at a downtown San José dinner reservation in twenty. The villa is the still point in between — the place you come back to with the day still on you.
