Where to Golf in Cabo San Lucas
There are a total of 7 golf courses in Cabo San Lucas that are available to the general public. While they’re all beautiful, we’ve put them in order of our favorite to play for you!
1. Cove Club Golf Course
The Cove Club Golf Course, formerly called the Cabo Del Sol Ocean Course, has been ranked number 1 in Mexico! It’s an incredible course from start to finish and has been attracting world-class golfers since 1994. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and features 4 oceanfront holes throughout the 18-hole course!
2. Cabo Real
The Cabo Real Golf Club is a multi-themed, target-style course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Each hole offers stunning views and is chiseled into desert foothills. If you’re looking for something a little more challenging, this is the course for you. There are freeform bunkers and small, elevated greens, combined with fairways along ridgetops.
The Palmilla golf club is famous for its 27 holes of golf and its amazing views of the Sea of Cortez. Choose from the Mountain Course, the Ocean Course or the Arroyo Course. The Mountain Course has one of the greatest par fours of the world, that leads you 470 yards uphill to an ample driving area. The Ocean Course has several holes that put you within pitching distance of the ocean. The Arroyo Course has you tee up in the shadow of cacti, cross deep canyons and has what people call “3 of the best holes in all of Cabo golf!”
4. Cabo Del Sol Desert
The Cabo Del Sol Desert Course is sculpted across the natural beauty of the Baja California Peninsula. It melds a desert and ocean, offering canyon-like river beds that add to the course’s scenery. You’ll have views of the Sea of Cortez at every hole!
5. Country Club
Cabo Country Club is one of the hardest courses to score on in the area! If you’re up for the challenge, come play along endless cacti and blooming Bougainvillea bushes. It’s carved from its surrounding terrain and offers desert-style, shot-making challenges. The par 3s are some of the most difficult, yet rewarding, holes in the area!
Campestre is designed by Gary Nicklaus and is spread across the foothills of the Sierra del la Laguna Mountains. The contrast between the natural beauty of the desert and the soft carpets of the green grass will have you wanting to return game after game. Campestre offers panoramic views, elevation changes and championship greens.
7. Puerto Los Cabos
Puerto Los Cabos Golf has 27 holes of championship golf. All 3 courses have championship layouts and are perched above the Sea of Cortez and etched into rolling desert foothills. The views from each hole are incredible. There is the Norman Course, which has over 400 feet of elevation change, the Nicklaus I Course, which has unique views of the San Jose del Cabo valley, and the Nicklaus II Course, which has subtly contoured greens, large bunkers and dramatic elevation changes.
