Cabo Real Golf Club has a multi-themed, target-style course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The recent reversal of the club’s nines have greatly enhanced the layout’s flow and drama of this goal course here in Los Cabos.
After the demodulation of the golf course done by Jones from a pre-existing layout, provides a scenic, gentle test with broad fairways heading down to the Sea of Cortes, What is worth mentioning is at the short par-4 fifth,You will be playing across a dry river bed en route to the beach. The par-3 6th hole, is propped up on a seaside bluff, while looking back will grant you with a view of endless palm trees and a beautiful white sand beach of 3.4 miles long.
With breathtaking views on every hole that are chiseled into desert foothills at the foot of rugged mountain peaks, This golf course presents a great test of golf. Free-form bunkers and small, elevated greens combined with fairways that along ridge tops, to provide an expansive feel. The 14th hole, at 454 yards, runs along the edge of a steep canyon to a green carved into a precipice at the layout’s highest point—nearly 500 feet above the sea.
Cabo Real hosted two PGA Senior Slam events back in 1996 and in 1999. Jones and his design team artfully contoured the green complexes and containment mounds to mimic the shapes of the richly hued mountain peaks in the Sierra de la Laguna that frame the course. It is truly an oasis in the dessert!

Alex: This is a great golf course and the best views of any courses in Cabo with every hole having a view of the Sea of Cortez. Play smart and you can score. The par 5s’s you can eat up and can make up shots. Trust the distances and hit to the middle of the greens.
Tom: I just like this course a lot and play here more than anywhere in Cabo. It is pure golf at its best. Hit a good shot and you get rewarded, hit it sideways and you will score some high numbers.
